What a whirlwind weekend!

A little over a week ago my husband was off work on Friday so he told me to pack a bag because he was taking me somewhere for the weekend! I had no idea where we were going but I was excited! After driving a little over 3 hours we ended up in Houston! He had booked us a room on the executive level of the Hilton right down the street from the Galleria!!! How sweet is that?!!


They even had a bar named after me!!!


We did a little shopping on Friday & then went to a comedy club that night. We happened to choose the right night because D.L. Hughley was performing! I laughed so hard my stomach was hurting when we left.


On Saturday we drove to a little town on the coast called Kemah. They are famous for the Kemah Boardwalk right on the water which is full of restaurants & shops. We ate lunch at a restaurant where we stuffed ourselves (yeah, we splurged since we were on vacation!) at the all-you-can-eat seafood buffet! We're talking steamed crab legs, caviar, homemade clam chowder, ceviche...mmm it was SO good! We did a little more browsing in the local shops and then headed back to Houston.


Sat. night we decided to go to Lakewood Church which is home to Joel Osteen. I'm sure you've probably heard of him. I have always loved watching him on tv so it was awesome to hear him preach in person! After the service we waited in line for 45 min. until we got to shake hands with him and talk with him for about 2 or 3 min. LOL! It was SO worth it though!
