Even when the rain falls...

Thank you all SO much for your continued prayers. They mean the world to me & my family.

I found a quiet moment today and decided to check in on some blogs I love to read to try to turn my mind off for awhile. What I ended up reading was one of the most beautiful posts I've ever read. If you ever need inspiration you must read Bring The Rain. Angie Smith is a beautiful soul inside & out. God truly has given her the gift of words. In her most recent post "Blink" she writes:

"We need not dwell on the things we wish we had done differently, nor should we even give too much thought to what the future will look like. We need not worry about the pages, but rather this very simple fact.

I have this moment. Right now. And I want to make it good."

Thank you Angie for your beautiful words. Thank you for having the courage to open up your heart for all to see.

I heard this song on the radio today. I've never really payed much attention to it, but today the words just struck me. (I added it to my playlist at the bottom if you want to hear it)

"Washed By The Water" --Needtobreathe

Daddy was a preacher
She was his wife
Just tryin to make the world a little better
You know, shine a light
People started talking
Trying to hear their own voice
Those people tried to accuse my father
Said he made the wrong choice
Though it might be painful
You know that time will always tell
Those people have long since gone
My father never failed

Even when the rain falls
Even when the flood starts rising
Even when the storm comes
I am washed by the water

Even if the Earth crumbles under my feet
Even if the ones I love turn around and crucify me
I won’t never ever let you down
I won’t fall
I won’t fall
I won’t fall as long as you’re around me

Even when the rain, sweat, and tears fall, I AM washed by the water. Although painful at times, there is a beautiful healing in this process.

I love this. Thank you for reminding me that even when that storm seems like it will overtake me, I am washed by the water.

I am praying for you.
