The Biggest Loser!!!

Congratulations to Ali for becoming the very first FEMALE biggest loser!!! (she is the one in pink) This is the first season I have ever watched BL & I am totally hooked now!

While both ladies are amazing, Kelly (in yellow) is my personal inspiration! She started out weighing close to what I do & just look at her now! Her story really touched my heart and hit close to home. She has experienced problems with fertility (miscarriages & ectopic pregnancies) in the past. While I haven't experienced that specific kind of heartache, I know the pain she feels of wanting to have a child so badly. When she started BL she said that her goal was to lose the weight so she could have a baby. Sounds familiar ;) (by the way, I REALLY want to write her a letter but have no idea where I would send it, if anyone has any ideas please let me know!)

I realize that while the contestants are on BL they are provided with personal trainers, exercise 7 hrs. a day, and have all their meals planned for them. However, if you look at all of the contestants who were sent home to do it themselves they lost an incredible amount of weight too! It has truly shown me that if they can do it, so can I!

Joey & I were doing really good for awhile and both lost some weight. Somehow though we got off track and ended up gaining back some of the weight. My weight is a huge struggle for me because I know it is standing in the way of me becoming a mom. As much as I want to conceive a child, I know that I need to take care of myself first so that I am physically healthy to carry a baby. Losing the weight will also help me to be in a much better place emotionally too.

So, that being said, for the past couple of weeks Joey & I have kick started our way to a healthier lifestyle...once & for all! We have not eaten any fast food for 2 weeks! (Watch Supersize Me & you will never eat fast food again!) We have been carefully watching what we eat & counting our calories. I have been planning healthy meals so that when we go to the grocery store we only buy what is on the list. And, I have decided to start working out twice a day (once in the AM & once in the evening when Joey gets home) so that it doesn't seem like such a chore. I LOVE the way I feel after I work out, but I despise actually doing it LOL.

Joey & I have alot of weight to lose but we WILL do it! Please pray for our willpower, strength, and endurance. I'll keep you updated! :)
