Mommy & Daddy love you!!!

Our church is in the process of constructing a brand new children's building. They are adding it onto the side of the church and it is going to be absolutely amazing. We're talking about an $8.5 million state of the art facility to be used to teach the children all about God and His love for them!!

This past weekend our pastor invited us all to go into the structure that is in place right now and write our children, grandchildren, and future children's names on the floor. It will be covered up with carpet and other flooring once the building is finished but it will forever be there!

So, Joey & I decided to each write our own messages on the floor...Mine was a prayer to God and a reminder that we have faith in Him that He will bless us with our future children. It was an emotional moment as there were many people in the building, children running around laughing and screaming, all of my family there...but I was in my own little world, I didn't hear anything except my prayer to God.

When I was done I let out a deep sigh, I had managed to hold back any tears. As I looked over at Joey's finished message...I lost it. Here is a picture of his:

My sister took the pic with her camera phone so it's a little hard to read but it says "To our future children, We love you & can't wait to meet you, Mom & Dad"

Joey & I stood there holding onto each other as I sobbed. He whispered in my ear that this building was built for our children :) One of the pastors saw me crying and came over asking if I was ok. I couldn't get any words out so she just held onto me and comforted me. When I finally regained my composure she said "We wrote a prayer for our future children too, God Bless You."

One more thing I want to say...God, please tell our children we said Hi & that mommy & daddy love them with all of our hearts. It is so hard to love them so incredibly much and not even know them yet...We anxiously await the day when we will meet them and look into their eyes, and our lives will be complete :)

What an awesome way to lay your requests at the feet of the Lord. He will honor that. Just as Hannah wept at the alter of the Lord, this seems like a chance to offer your heart to God in a similar way that Hannah did. God has given you a mother's heart and if it were not something that He had planned for your future, then He would take that desire away. You ARE a mother in your heart and someday you will meet the sweet little baby God has picked out JUST for you and you will get to show him or her such a sweet little message and that little baby will know that you have loved them for a long time. Praying for you.
