Mom's Day

So as everyone knows this past Sunday was Mother's Day. This is a very bittersweet day for me...it is painful not being a mom yet. I long & ache to be a mom so badly, I don't even really know how to put it into words. As one of my really good friends says "How can I miss someone so much that I have never even met?" I know it will happen in God's perfect timing, it's just incredibly hard, tiring, painful, & trying in the meantime.

However, it is a day to celebrate moms & two of the absolute best I know are my mom & my sister! They really helped me to have a good day and forget about my own sadness. My mom raised my sister and me all by herself & did an incredible job if I do say so :)

Now my mom has re-married but my sister is a single mom. I see my sister doing the same amazing job as our mom with her daughter and it just makes me realize how blessed I am to have these two gorgeous women in my life. When I finally become a mom, I want to be just like them!
