Happy Birthday Part II

Well, it just wouldn't be my birthday without something a little extra right?!! Not only did my sweetheart hubby give me the DB but he also took me to Dallas for the weekend! Since Monday was Memorial Day we had 3 days to spend there!

We stayed at the beautiful Renaissance Hotel which is constructed of gorgeous pink granite!

We had amazing views from our window & a beautiful room!

We spent Saturday shopping at The Galleria and then had dinner at a mexican restaurant named El Fenix.

Sunday morning I woke up & it was my birthday! It's hard to believe I'm already 26!!! I told Joey that I'm officially over the mid-20's hump now so I am now in my late 20's *tear* LOL His response was "Yeah, can you believe we are actually responsible adults and we like it?!" HAHA

So, my sweetie ordered room service so that I could have breakfast in bed! Aww :)

After breakfast we drove to Fort Worth to see the Museum of Science & History...that was a waste of our money! There was nothing to look at! We then headed to Grapevine for some more shopping at Grapevine Mills outlet mall..that was FUN!

We came back to the room, rested a little & then got all dressed up to go out to dinner at the House of Blues!

While at HOB we ate some awesome food, had great margaritas, & even got to see BB King's daughter perform! She was unbelievable!! We then came back to the hotel & had a few more drinks in the hotel bar..let's just say they know how to make a damn good mudslide!!!

Monday we checked out of the hotel and made one last stop before heading home...Swiss Avenue. It is a very well-known street with many gorgeous historical homes. Here are just a few, take a look for yourself!

I can't wait to go to Southfork Ranch in August! A home on Swiss Ave. was used for some of the indoor filming on "Dallas", is that area close to Ft.Worth? My hubby is a bit unsure of getting around in the downtown area, our neighbor is there often driving a big rig and said traffic is bad so we are gonna try not to go downtown too far. I am Texas Crazy! I have been through Dallas once when I was 5 and through Amarillo alot but never got to enjoy anything of Texas, always going somewhere else. I love, love, love Texas!
